A weekend...

Hey people... : )
well... basically... there's nothing much to update...
cause after orientation i'm back to my mundane uni life...
constantly buried in lecture notes, PBLs, portfolios, lab reports and all...
*sigh*...
but i'm damn lazy... all i do is just procastinate...
and i used one whole day to finish one report...
its ONE... ONE!!!
unbelievable?? believe it...

But i have to admit that i had a nice weekend... : )
Saturday started with some revision... and stuffing myself with cream puffs...
then... joni and i got bored... so we decided to head downtown...
at first the plan was to shop for gifts...
but then... ended up we shopped for ourselves...
great!!! but then... it was real fun...
we went shop after shop...
after each shop telling ourselves that we're going back home...
but in the end... we went in more shops... hahahaz~ gurls...

Today...
Had a nice dinner with my housemates... to me...
it was sort of like a dinner to welcome yue keng... hahaz~
it was an enjoyable dinner... while we chat and ate...

And oh yeah!!! the dried brown skin on my wound...
my hands got gatal... and i peeled it off...
which resulted in... a whole lot of scoldings from all 3 of my housemates...
all at once!!! can u believe it??
so now you can see the hole on my knee... its sort of obvious... =.=
so in the end... they insist that i put a plaster over the hole... FINE...

and... a friend lighthened up my day... : )
this was something he said... prior to the wound on my knee...
" though a scar is ugly... it's the place where we can grow up even stronger... "
well... though he knows fairly well that i am not bothered with the scar...
he was nice enough to spare some time to " try to find something to console me "...
as quoted by him... hahaz~
and to say the truth... I'm just glad that you understand me so well... : )
for the time you spare from your reports...
for wanting to share the self recoreded peice...
thank you.. : )

Orientation 2008- Rule or Be Ruled... : )

Orientation ended officially after the Grand Finale last Saturday...
Yes... it was a tiring week... having to juggle lectures... practice... labs... and games...
Lack of sleep... Yawning and dreaming in lectures... But it was all worth it... : )
I have to say that this orientation wasn't perfect... and it was a little bit off whatever i was expecting it to be...
BUT... it was still a blast to me...
I myself had a great deal of fun...
don't know bout the juniors though... they look sort of tired and bored... : (

I fell... Those 2 white patches... My wound... Covered...
Me- Da secretary

First day...

It was just a briefing and showing the juniors the video... I have to say that the video is COOL... XD Good job to the actors and actresses, the director and the editors... : )

Second day... Games... Detective games...
The juniors were supposed to find out who is the one who wrote the scrolls based on the clues collected...
which is actually me... hehe~
I was a station master that day...
yelling at the top of my voice to make sure that everyone can hear me...
giving instructions and making people cheer...
owh... by the way... my station is the DOUBLE CHIMP RACE... : )
I hope the juniors enjoyed it...
Third day... Games again...
And i am again the station master...
this time my station is called... THE UNDERWEAR RELAY...
which the name implies... the juniors were asked to put on a pair of boxers...
two person in one boxers and make their way to the finishing line... XD
Again... I hope that everyone enjoyed it...
even the OO's... hope you all enjoyed the race.. : )

David got the juniors to make me pose like that to get his signature for signature hunt...

2008 Orientation Committee

Fourth day... Variety night...

Juniors were asked to dress up according to the theme given to each group and dance to a song given with their costumes on... And... surprise peeps!!! I did a japanese fan dance with 3 other girls... yeah... i fell and hurt my knee... but i still get to do the dance afterall...and i had so much fun... dressing up in kimono... understanding the japanese culture here and there as explained by venus... But... i didn't get to do cheerleading... But it was great... the cheerleaders did a great job... : )

Me in a kimono... more like yukata... : )

The japanese dance dancers.. : )

Fifth day... Orientation Outing...

Finally... I got a taste of GREEN TEA FRAPPUCINO...
I've been craving for it like forever...
The committees had dinner together at nando's... So we joined them...
and then... joni and I joined khai xhuen's group at the taxi stand to queue for taxi...
Unfortunately... the same stupid thing that happened 2 weeks ago happened again... and we were again stranded... : (
my second time stranded at mid valley near midnight... GREAT...
but it was fun in a way... we ran to the ktm station for fearing we might miss the last train... 6 seniors and 1 junior... hahaz~

GREEN TEA FRAPPUCINO... XD

Dinner at Nando's with all the committees... : )

At the ktm station... The 6 stranded seniors... XD
Sixth day... Grand Finale...

It was all performances...
I was one of the dancers for the opening dance- the oriental dance...
It wasn't perfect but i think all of us enjoyed it...
and the hip hop dance at the end...
was a nice one... : )

The Oriental Dancers... : )

My hair got straighthened... * winks *

Dinner after the Grand Finale... : )

Throughout this orientation i have to say that i have somehow or other got closer to some of my batchmates... Be it OOs or Committees... and i'm happy we did... : )
And to some of you... I'm glad that we were given the opportunity to work together too... : )
All the suppers... outings... and practices... they were cool...
All in all... Orientation 2008... Rule or Be Ruled... is something i will definitely remember for a long time... : )

Disappointment??

I don't know what this kind of feeling is...
Disappointment i call it...
I expected something too much out of nothing...
And when the truth slaps me in my face...
Here I am feeling down and perhaps a bit hurt...
It seems the feelings of yesterdays has slowly returns...

Words.

When you're tired and sort of down...
and someone offes you a hand...
or some kind words...
that is something very comforting...
Again... its the little gesture that matters...
so thank you for that... : )

Though things didn't really go well today...
i hope tomorrow will be a better day...

Its the little gesture that matters... : )

I realized... Sometimes...
It just doesn't matter how bad you find that person...
If one is of importance to you... you will eventually oversee all his/her weaknesses...
And it doesn't really matter how good that person is to you when there is no chemistry between the two of you...
It just won't work...

Perhaps i am too kind to always magnify all the nice things that you have done...
And always i'll forget the times when you are being insensitive and incosiderate easily...
To you:
Its the little gesture that matters...
Its the little something that shows me you care...
Its the short yet sincere message that makes me feel warm...
For that, i thank you... : )

p/s : I've had a wonderful day... Special thanks to two of my besties...

Sem 2 Sem Break : )

Sem 2 sem break... Its coming to an end soon...
thinking back... it wasn't really a blast as how i had my sem 1 sem break...
but it was still great... : )

The highlights...

My second time clubbing... It was the day that my finals ended... and after so many days lacking sleep... i was actually drop dead tired... And me being the kayu me... didn't really enjoy... perhaps... it's not really my thing huh? but all in all... it wasnt that bad... it was the gang that made the night an ok one... : )

The trip to Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Redang with my coursemates...
i would say that the trip was an enjoyable one... though i got sick of snorkeling... hahaz~ But the beaches were great... sun... sea... sand... breeze... FRIENDS... the perfect combination!!! and the time spent with friends chilling... chatting... sharing... that's something that i really like.. : ) The campfire was a plus point on top of everything... And i'm real glad that people love the new friend found dance... The boat rides... whoa... i should say that i enjoy that more than snorkeling... i mean... seeing fishes, turtles, sharks, corals and all that are real cool... but then when you keep repeating it... it gets sort of boring right? =.= Waiting for the sunrise while chatting and trying our best not to fall asleep... trying all different kinds of positions... hahaz~ that was funny yet memorable...

The trip to Pulau Aman with my family... The trip was sort of boring actually... but with my lame brother there... everything turned out to be pretty ok... And i realised... I just enjoy his company... no matter where we are... I know i'll miss him dearly when he leaves for US next year... Who else to ajak when i wanna have supper? who else to drive me around? who else to have breakfast with? who else to provide me with all the downloaded tvb dramas? who else to provide me info on football? and most importantly... who else to keep me company when i really need someone to be there? He's the younger sibling... but having him around... i always feel like i am the younger one... I can just be so childish around him...

This is one of the kelong that we visited...

Trip to Sungai Sedim with my parents... this time without my bro... with his absence... the trip wasn't as nice... It was ok... But as there was no one to keep me company i slept most of the time... hahaz~ The canopy walkway at sungai sedim wasn't as thrilling as i've expected it to be also... A bit disappointing... But it was something new to me... and there were lots of interesting stuffs that can be done there... Flying fox... Camping... picnics bla bla... Think i'll be going back there with my friends... : )

The next one would be the interesting day i had with my besties... : ) We strolled the streets of Penang on foot... stopping every now and then to take some pictures... and taking in everything around us... Being a penangnite... i was surprised that some of my friends have never been to those places... Let alone walk on foot... wandering the streets... We walked from Lebuh Acheh to the Esplanade... Stopping at Fort Cornwallis and walking back through Little India... and the street with lots of banks... i forgot what's it called... hahaz~ Then we headed to New World Park for lunch and proceeded to Kek Lok Si... Not by foot... But by car... hehe~ In the evening... we headed for the beach along the highway to Sungai Dua for 2 belated birthday celebrations... And i don't know why... But out of nowhere there was a sudden urge in us... wanting to sing our hearts out... so... the karaoke was our next stop... It was a great... really great... i think we were shouting, yelling and jumping around the small room more than singing karaoke... So to my besties... thank you for everything... : )
Fort Cornwallis... : )

Kek Lok Si : )

The beach.

Next will be NoGAPS 2008 (National Gathering of Pharmacy Students)... Which was held at UIAM (Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia)... Believe it or not... This 4 day camp made me realised that i should be proud to be a pharmacist in the making... ;p Met new people... Learnt how to communicate with friends from other races... and yes... i did experience cultural shock... and yes... i find it difficult to converse in BM... sad case huh? Whenever i talk to my malay friends... I have to pause then think then talk... *malu* and worse... i tend to switched to english halfway through speaking in malay... *swt*
Besides that... We had fun racing around Kuantan for pharmrace... The community service... though it was boring at my booth, other booths look fun to me... : ) and for cultural night with the theme retro... each group has to perform... my group did singing... and i have to say i am proud of my malay friends who sang "yue liang dai biao wo de xin"... Especially Izzat who took the lead... Besides that, batik painting was another memorable experience... and going around kuantan at night with friends... *thanks Chi Lun... : )* All in all... The good parts out weigh the bad parts... so... It was good... hahaz~ seriously though... i had fun... with b107 as well as my group members... : )

Besides all these... there were random outings... movies... hiking... jogging... bowling... shopping... yum cha... drama chasing... steamboat... reading... owh... i got myself the novel that i've always wanted to add to my collection... "p/s I Love You"... : ) hahaz~
And one final highlight before i call it quits...
That would be the trip to klang and shah alam... We... The whole family headed down to Klang and stayed there for one night... Upon reaching... we tried the famous Bak Kut Teh... It's something very different from what we have in penang... But both are equally delicious to me... : ) then... we proceeded to Shah Alam to take a look at the UiTM campus after lunch... After taking a nap at the hotel... My bro and I went shopping at Centro Mall... It was nothing much... But again... spending time with my bro is always great... and that day he seemed extra patient with me as i wandered into boutiques after boutiques... : ) The next morning... It was the big day for my bro... Its the day for him to report to UiTM... so we ended up spending almost the entire morning at his hostel... while waiting for him to get everything settled with JPA... it was BORING... well... all i can say is that i wish him all the best in his future path... and hopefully he'll do us proud by entering one of the top uni in US next year... All da bez 2 u han... XOXO
that would roughly be what i was up to for the whole sem break... : )
