A Surprise.

How time flies... one week is gone... just like that...

which reminds me that i am now nearer to NATURAL PRODUCTS CLASS TESTS...

these days... i just cannot understand why am i so tired...

i get ample sleep... about 6 hours of sleep... and yet i still don't feel refreshed when i wake up in the morning...

i still cannot concentrate and pay attention in lectures...

i am just TIRED for no reason AT ALL... WHY??

well... this is what happened on monday...

drug met was the first class test that we have in sem 3...

and i guess most of us were defeated... : ( sad case.

but something was very wierd...

that day during practical everyone seemed to be very happy...

pang tsen seemed extra happy... even before the practical started this was what he kept repeating "i think our product will be nice.."

hahaz~ my benchmates and i have no idea why is he so happy that day...

and halfway through practical we started discussing where to go after lessons...

pasar malam kah? red box kah? shopping kah? macam macam... =.=

all these seem so wierd to me... i mean... i always see b107 as a studious bunch...

since when people start to not care about the upcoming class tests...

then... suddenly... out of nowhere... this bomb was dropped...

"the workshop for tomorrow's CAL on Pharm Anal. contributes 10 marks..."

and every single plan that was discussed earlier on was CANCELED...

what's left is only CHROMATOGRAPHY, HPLC, TLC, GC.... =.=''

and then... it was a night full of obstacles...

OBSTACLE 1

that evening... most of b107 turned up and watch a game of basketball between Pharm A and m108...

and then... after the game... joni and i realised that it was a good opportunity to leave the pressies at david's and kp's place since they're still watching the game...

so we asked andrew and mogan to hold them back while we ran all the way back and was about to head out when i called chun wei and asked if they had locked their rooms...

and unfortunately... YES!!!

so... we had no choice but to forget about the stupid plan... : (

OBSTACLE 2

since plan A can't work... we started working out plan B...

which included a surprise for them...

so we cracked our heads just to try to think of the best way to surprise them...

we thought off apples... cakes... egg tarts... oreo biscuits... and a lot of funny stuffs...

just to try and make the connection to them...

apples cause kp is known as apple face... egg tarts cause i once bought egg tarts for them... and they liked it...

and then... we just can't think of what david really like!!!

so finally... we agreed on lighting candles on apples and arranging them in words for kp... and egg tarts for david with the tarts that spells "MAN"... hahaz~

and it was decided to be done at the pool side of vista c...

but... there was no transport to go sri petaling to shop for goods... : (

fortunately... yue keng suddenly popped into my room and said he is going to sri petaling for dinner...

instantly... joni and i smiled... ;p

OBSTACLE 3

when we got to sri petaling...

it was already 10 something... which means all the bakery and shops are closed...

which means no apples and no egg tarts...

DISASTROUS!!! : ( all we can get were lanterns....

then luckily... ling wei got the cake already... so not too bad... we still have a cake...

and we were thinking of hanging the lanterns at the poolside...

OBSTACLE 4

then after dinner... we head back...

arranging everything through the phone with another party is so difficult...

so once we reached vista... i met ling wei to straighthen everything out...

so once settled... i headed back home to grab some stuff, met joni and headed to vista C...

we went to collect the cake then headed to the pool side...

BUT... raindrops started falling... and the vista management people are having a meeting there...

so... we have no choice but to cancel all our initial plannings...

OBSTACLE 5

we changed the venue to kp's place... and so joni and i headed there and started preparing...

we had no idea what to do initially...

then joni suggested we hang the lanterns on the wall since there are little hooks stuck to the wall...

so happily we light up the lanterns and hanged them on the PLASTIC hangers before hanging them on hooks...

it was so damn hot... cause we cannot switch on the fans...

and to our horror... about 5 minutes later... the PLASTIC hanger started melting... =.=

so change of plans... we tried arranging the lanterns in the numbers 21 to signify their 21st birthday on the floor...

test run once... and they are already at the door...

so chun wei... put on his lab coat and the cap they gave us for extempo...

held the cake and led us all, crowded in the small apartment to sing happy birthday...

what was the guys' reaction... hmmm... ask them... ;p

seriously though... i'm just glad that it worked out ok... : )

and to kp and david... hope you guys like both the celebration and the presents...
